Community Involvement

With over 100 years experience protecting the people and businesses in Vermont and across the Northeast, we have become a staple in many of our communities.  Our neighbors own businesses we shop at, share in the same community and school events with our employees, and many of them choose Kinney Pike as their trusted insurance agency.  We, in turn, return the favor by supporting  the businesses, individuals and neighbors who support us.

Community Giving

Kinney Pike's six Vermont offices receive hundreds of requests each year to support various non-profits and organizations who help to make our communities a better place to live and work.   We support the organizations and activities contributing to the economic and social well being of our communities.

Many of our employees volunteer their time and talent to support organizations meaningful to them.  We encourage our employees to become involved in the community and support their efforts and contributions in the community.

As a company, we do our part to be a good neighbor.  We have a great lineup of events, contests and giveaways for our friends and neighbors in 2012!  We participated in a lot of great events in Vermont and New Hampshire in 2011, and closed the year with a bundle of donations for some very worthy causes!   Below is a summary of our most recent holiday giving efforts.

Holiday Giving

  • Our Rutland employees volunteered/donated for Stuff a Bus program, generating 25,000 lbs of food for the Food Shelf.  Employees also collected and distributed gifts for Salvation Army's "Angel Tree", and adopted a family for the holidays through the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
  • White River area employees stuffed a car with food and paper products to assist families staying at David's House in Lebanon, NH.  They also participated in Toys for Tots and Norwich Holiday Helpers.
  • Randolph/Holden Agency employees participated in Toys for Tots, purchased gifts through Mitten Tree at Randolph National Bank, and donated to local Food Shelf.
  • Poultney employees purchased gifts for two children through the Poultney Women's Club Giving Tree.
  • South Burlington employees donated turkeys to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf and sponsored a child through the Salvation Army's "Be an Angel" holiday drive.
  • St. Johnsbury employees donated to their local Food Shelf.

Sponsorships/Events

Kinney Pike cares about our clients, our employees and our community.  Every year, we show our support through generous donations to community organizations and charitable groups  We are proud to sponsor many events throughout the Northeast.  Sponsorships can be as small as supporting a local day care's pumpkin painting activity, to manning a booth at the Prouty's Annual Bike Ride and Challenge Walk supporting the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.  Showing our support for these organizations goes hand in hand with good corporate citizenship, a commitment we stand firmly behind.  Click here to see a summary of many organizations we have supported throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.

If you would like to submit a request for a donation or sponsorship, please submit your request in writing with specifics about the need, the organization that it benefits, and the cost.  We will review and consider all requests.  Please note that due to the large volume of requests we receive, we may not be able to fulfill all requests.  Our dedicated team of employees reviews all requests and determines the best way we can support as many requests as possible.
