What does group vision insurance typically cover?

Group Vision Insurance is generally purchased with a health insurance plan and covers care and treatment for your eyes.  These plans often cover annual eye exams, glasses, contacts, and glaucoma screening.  In some cases, vision insurance may only pay for the annual exam or treatment of eye conditions, not glasses or contacts. It’s important to understand what your policy covers. Many potential employees find value in employers who offer this extra coverage.

What you should know

Vision insurance is not a substitute for health insurance.
